StyleWheel.org is designed to provide quick access to a wide range of visual art through a series of easy-to-navigate galleries. A cycle of eight basic style galleries offers a spectrum of artistic points of view. The goal is to create an inclusive portal to great contemporary art, highlighting the current renaissance of everything. The site is in beta, and we are currently accepting submissions by artists. Artists and galleries are invited to submit up to 10 images of any visual art other than photography. It is understood that multiple basic styles might be present in any given piece, but, for the sake of creating a simple art navigator, we are asking that artists/galleries choose just one of the eight galleries for each piece. (A more nuanced exploration of style can be found at Art Style Generator, a related site with a form for imagining and communicating combinations of stylistic elements.) Works that
are
chosen to be featured by our jury of artists and art professionals will be posted on the site,
and
we will link from each image directly to the website provided by the
artist/gallery.
Alongside each image will be the title, size, and medium; the artist's
name, and the
artist's city, state, and/or country. No gallery
names will be listed;
however, the link from the image can go to a gallery site. If
artists/galleries hear
that a
patron came through StyleWheel.org, we would greatly appreciate the
donation of a small percentage of resulting sales, in order to maintain
this site and ourselves. We also appreciate links from
artist/gallery sites to StyleWheel.org. View Art Home Our address is

created by artist Charles Morris, a co-founder of Maquoketa Art Experience, a
non-profit dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Maquoketa, Iowa

apprenticeships with art related businesses such as Portrait Urn and Art Style Generator. |
